Spruce up your backyard with these goodies from Lowe's that start every Thursday in April, and make your home the ultimate spring destination!
With a global pandemic last year, people were forced to stay at home and all of the best-laid plans flew out of the window. Now, as we move into the following year, things haven't changed all that much, save for the vaccine, which signifies some hope of returning to the new normal. Lifehacker reports that as per a survey conducted by Cinch Home Services, "54% of homeowners indicated that they would be making improvements to their property in 2021, with 35% of those being in their backyard." So, to spread some cheer, the home improvement retailer, Lowe's, has a few fun, spring activities planned for you.
Marisa Thalberg, Lowe’s executive vice president, chief brand and marketing officer, told USA Today, "Spring just feels so metaphoric this year. Sort of this coming out of our winter, literally and figuratively. We're already seeing that interest starting to really build quickly as the weather is starting to get warmer in different parts of the country."
According to Good Housekeeping, Lowe's will be hosting a Spring Fest in April. During the month-long fest, people can experience a home and garden event that includes deals on favorite warm-weather products, and special events among others. Customers will also learn new skills online as well as at in-store demos in select stores. That's not all, Lowe's will also be giving away free Garden-to-Go kits every Thursday in April starting on the 8th, to get new and old patrons interested.
However, to avail of these free Garden-to-Go kits, one must register on Lowe's website beginning on April 1 to reserve one for yourself. This can then be picked up the following Thursday during a special curbside event. There will be a different Garden-to-Go kit each week — two of which will come in unique packaging.
Here's what the complimentary kits will look like:
"April 8: Garden-to-Go kit sponsored by Miracle-Gro with exclusive recipes from professional cook and food stylist Amanda Frederickson.
April 15: Lowe's Mystery Garden Pinata with mystery seed packets.
April 22: 500,000 tree saplings given out in honor of Earth Day.
April 29: Lowe's Butterfly Quest helps families create a butterfly garden."
"Over the past year, our homes have transformed and supported us in more ways than we could have imagined. This spring, home can evolve, yet again, to be a creative outlet and the ultimate destination," said Thalberg. "Through SpringFest and our invitation to take a Home trip, we're making the best of spring available so our customers can transport themselves without ever leaving the sanctuary of home."
Irrespective of whether you are an amateur or an expert, here's your chance to let your green thumb shine this spring!
