You Can Now Attend An Adult Halloween Party At Disneyland With Alcohol And Free Candy

From September 17 through October 31, a part of the California Adventures park will transform into something like 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'.

Sure, there are the not-so-innocent Halloween parties for us adults, but the joy of going door-to-door for trick-or-treating is a different experience altogether. It's nostalgic and makes us miss our childhood, especially when a bunch of kids comes knocking on our door!

But, why should children have all the fun? I mean, going around asking for candy may not really be the most grown-up thing to do, but if that makes you feel like a child again, why not? Now, thanks to Disneyland, you can actually let the child in you have some fun. This year, the California Adventures park is gearing up for one of the coolest Halloween bashes, for adults!

You will now be able to indulge in some adult trick-or-treating, dancing, and even drinking! Thankfully (or maybe not) this party is not just for adults, and people of all age are encouraged to attend.

But the Oogie Boogie Bash -yes, that's what it's called-  event definitely has some features that cater to us Disney-loving, 'childless millennials', and we're here for this. No wonder they call Disney the most magical place on earth!

From Sept. 17 through Oct. 31, a part of the California Adventures park will transform into something like The Nightmare Before Christmas. All the Disney villains will be a part of the party.

Costumes are a given, and it looks like there will be a trick-or-treating path where both kids and adults can go around hollering for some candy! The new “Villainous!” World of Color show will be an exclusive addition to the Oogie Boogie bash!

If that's not enough, then there will also be a Descendents-inspired dance club. Was I born ready for this bash or what? But, here's why this is meant for adults, even though there's no particular age limit or age bar. Cathay Circle, the iconic movie theater and restaurant inside California Adventures, will be completely transformed for this event.

The outside of the building will be engulfed by Maleficent’s vines, and the inside will be completely transformed into “an immersive haunted experience complete with sounds and illusions.”

Yes, this does mean that there will be special Halloween food items — and drinks. Also, for this big bad bash, you won't have to limit your booze intake to just restaurants, because rumor has it that alcohol will be sold openly throughout the park to help grownups celebrate their Halloween in style. We will need something to keep us warm through the cold, chilly breeze when a ghost goes past us!

Now that the good news has been delivered to you first, it's time for the bad news. The event is only running on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from mid-September until Halloween.

To go, you’ll have to get a special event ticket, and the price range is from $110 to $145 depending on the day, and some dates are already sold out, so if you have plans to go (which I'm sure you do), you might want to grab those tickets ASAP.
