The woman was about to check out when a security came and told her she'd have to leave if she didn't wear a mask. Since she didn't have one with her, she used her underwear as one.
Most retail outlets have made it mandatory for their customers to don a face mask while shopping. However, some people still refuse to wear masks. According to New York Post, a woman in a Pick n Pay supermarket in South Africa was about to be kicked out of the store for refusing to wear a mask. The store's security personnel warned the woman that she would have to leave the store if she refused to comply with the rules. The woman then told the security that she didn't have a mask with her.
When she realized she had no choice, she bent over, reached under her dress, and took off her panties. She then proceeded to use that as a mask just so she could continue to shop there. “Happy?” she asked sarcastically. An astonished onlooker can also be heard uttering “good lord” from behind the camera. Another woman who stood behind the lady who went commando seemed to applaud the creativity, according to The Sun.
Hahaha. I’ve always kinda thought the cloth masks look like underwear.— Deirdre Jobb (@DeirdreJobb) February 27, 2021
“Well, personally, I find it acceptable: It is a mask,” she says. “And quite frankly, I think the bacteria on your knickers is less than on the mask. Well done to you,” she adds with a congratulatory clap. “Brilliant.” This woman's stunt comes after South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said back in December that not wearing a face mask in public is a criminal offense. "A person who does not wear a mask could be arrested and prosecuted," he said. "On conviction, they will be liable to a fine or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months or to both a fine and imprisonment."

It's safe to say that not everyone was impressed by the woman's tactic. Raechel Neel shared on Facebook: Why so gross do we really need this information. She must have been desperate beyond desperate to do that. There should be masks available for those who don't have them. you can make your own wash it out anything but using underwear as a last resort. Hope you're not punking us this is unbelievable. Phyllis Cavalier added: That is Disgusting. I agree Stores should have Mask on Hand for People who forget to put them on. She shouldn't have even been Allowed to enter the Store without a Mask.

While this woman repurposed her underwear as a mask, another woman peed on the floor of a Verizon store after she was asked to leave for refusing to wear a mask, as we reported earlier. An unidentified woman and two other customers had entered the store without a face cover, which went against Verizon's mandatory mask-wearing rules. When they would not comply with the regulations, they were asked to leave the store but refused to do that as well. This is when a 911 call was made and a police dispatch operator in Roseville told officers that three shoppers "are refusing to leave, not wearing a mask... they've asked several times and she refused."
And then they were happy she was keeping everyone safe...— 1776% Kat Black (@katinbootz) February 27, 2021
Minutes later, the operator called the officers again and said, "They’re calling back and advising that that female is pulling down her pants and is now urinating inside the business." On arriving at the scene, cops discovered that the woman in question had been involved in some other shady business as well. On searching her car, they found several items that had been stolen from a Dick's Sporting Goods outlet nearby. She was immediately placed under arrest. What's so shocking is that it doesn't take much effort to wear a mask, and it's something that keeps you as well as the others around you safe. It's that simple, so why go against it?
