Little did Joanne Sterling know that they would end up getting famous for her husband's nifty ways of placing the extra pillows as he actually had no clue about where to put them.
After making their bed for 45 years, a woman from Manson, Washington, finally decided to put her husband in charge of it. Little did Joanne Sterling know that they would end up getting famous for her husband's nifty ways of placing the extra pillows as actually had no clue about where to put them. Despite struggling to find the best position for the extra pillows, Jim didn't give up and tried to do his best every day. Joanne, on the other hand, was left amused by her beloved husband's innovative ideas and began clicking a picture of his daily attempts. Of course, Joanne wanted to share the amusing results with the world and so she uploaded them on Facebook. Soon, the series went viral as many users couldn't wait to see what was Jim's arrangement had in store for them.
During an interview with Bored Panda, Joanne explained why she had decided to change up the duties around the house. "Jim was put in charge of making the bed because I have always taken care of everything in the house while he was working. Now that we are retired, it’s time for him to pull his own weight around here!" she told the outlet. Initially, she was able to convince him to make his side of the bed, but eventually, Joanne figured that it was time to hand him the sole responsibility of fixing their bed.
"He did and started playing with the pillow arrangements to make me laugh," she laughed recalling how the series of photographs first began. "I hope it lasts for a while but I don’t know how creative he can get." In one of the pictures, Facebook users noticed an unmade bed which Joanne captioned, 'He said he was on strike today.' When asked about that day, she hilariously said that the online attention and pressure of performance got to Jim.
"He learned he was getting some attention online and let the pressure get to him!" recalled the doting wife, assuring that her husband has now gotten used to his Internet fame and has made up for that day. "I can’t believe people are so amused by this," added Joanne. Furthermore, she noted how they attempt to keep their relationship strong and amusing by making each other laugh by engaging in such silly activities. "We try to make our relationship last by making each other laugh. I’m so glad people have been able to relate during this difficult time," she said.
Facebook users were all praise for Jim, who seems to have improved his bed-making skills over time. Who knew Jim was so clever. Thanks for the laughs, wrote Matt Diane Peters. While Eileen Guptill expressed how happy her mornings are these days as she looks forwards to having a laugh and witnessing Jim's new design. Loving my mornings checking in to see how the bed making is going!! she shared. Another Pam O'Hara wrote: Hahaha they’d do stuff like this at the Disneyland hotel! The kid’s stuffed animals and toys would be arranged differently every day with the pillows. I love it!
