Whoopi Goldberg & Donald Trump Jr. Get Into Heated Exchange: "Are You Questioning My Character?"

Things got heated between the President's son who was invited as a guest on 'The View'. He tried to flip the interview on Goldberg and Behar by reminding them of their comments in the past.

When Donald Trump Jr. was invited onto the show The View little did host Whoopi Goldberg realize that their talk would get this heated up. Trump Jr., 41, got back at Goldberg for some of the comments she made about filmmaker Roman Polanski who was caught in a massive allegation, regarding child sexual abuse in 2009. Goldberg's co-host, Joy Behar, 77 started the debate by questioning President Donald Trump's character. She spoke about the President's rather aggressive and vulgar attacks against his critics.

People reported that Trump Jr., immediately became defensive saying, “We’ve all done things we regret.”. He then attempted to flip the interview on Goldberg, 63, and Behar, 77, by bringing up a time where Behar wore “blackface” and another instance in which Goldberg “defended” Polanski.

Defending his father, Trump Jr. said that everyone has committed their fair share of mistakes, and the President is no exception to it. He then turned to Behar and stated that she had worn a "blackface" once. He added that Goldberg had "defended" Polanski which enraged Goldberg. Trump Jr. said, "I mean if we’re talking about bringing the discourse down, Joy you’ve worn blackface — Whoopi you’ve said, Roman Polanski… it wasn’t rape-rape when he raped a child."

At that point, Behar began to lash out at Trump Jr. as he continued to explain his view. She said "No, I have not!" while adding, "I did not wear blackface please!" Goldberg then came to her co-host's defense and said, "No, she was not in blackface. Being black I recognize blackface — this I can say."

As for the Polanski comment, Goldberg continued, "Now that you’ve broken this piece of ice because I guess this is the fight you wanted. Are you questioning my character?" to which Trump Jr. replied,  "I’m not questioning your character, you’re questioning my father’s character." Goldberg then retorted, "I simply said that when talking about your father has taken more heat than anybody else that is not so." Trump Jr. then asked, "As a president? Who else?"

At another point during the fiery session, a woman in the audience had apparently taken issue with Goldberg's comments on Polanski.  When the co-host simply spoke to her, the woman merely stated,  “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”  Goldberg told the woman to be "quiet and listen to me," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The woman was brought by Trump Jr., People reports.

Roman Polanksi pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, and also faced charges of drugging and raping a teenage girl. The case was well documented, and Goldberg had previously said, "I know it wasn’t rape-rape. I think it was something else, but I don’t believe it was rape-rape,". She later corrected herself on the show and said, "Initially he was charged with rape and then he pled guilty to having sex with a minor."
