The dog is said to have a crooked smile but rescuers believe it only makes him look cuter. Finally gets a new forever home.
Just like humans, animals are unique in the way they look and although a lot of dogs from the same breed might look the same, they all have their own differences. Dogs, in general, are really adorable and it's hard to say which one of them is the cutest but obviously, some are slightly cuter than others. Mosley, a dog that was discriminated against because of his crooked smile, recently landed up at a shelter in Georgia. Although he looked a little different, his rescuers believed that just makes him a lot more lovable. Mosley showed up at the shelter last month. He was apparently overlooked by many because of his crooked smile. Since there were plenty of other dogs around at his previous shelter, everyone paid a lot more attention to them and poor little Mosley was ignored for months.
Mosley didn't deserve to be ignored by everyone. Well, it wasn't too long until he got the love, care, and attention that he needed. He wasn't treated the way he deserved to be in the Georgia based shelter but all that came to an end when he was spotted online by Amanda Harris. The minute she saw Mosley's picture online, Harris knew that he was special. Harris happens to be the marketing programs manager for Atlanta Humane Society. Soon after she saw the picture online she left in order to go and pick him up from the rural Georgia shelter.
“His crooked grin captured our hearts, and we knew it would help him quickly capture the perfect forever home,” Harris said about Mosley in an interview with The Dodo. The people who visited the rural Georgia-based shelter might have chosen to play with or adopt other dogs but Amanda Harris, her team, and most people on social media thought that Mosley was absolutely adorable. No one knows how Mosley's smile became crooked in the first place. According to Harris, chances are that he was just born this way.
“We took some photos and video of him, and he quickly became very popular on social media, where dozens of families inquired about adopting him,” Harris said. Not long after he was put up for adoption, Lindsey Ramsey and her family reached out to the shelter and inquired about the dog. When they visited him they seemed to hit it off quickly and really well. The shelter felt as though the Lindsey's were the perfect match for Mosley and not long after, they adopted him. Mosley has apparently been a very excited dog ever since he was adopted.
“He just wants to be rubbed on and snuggled and he follows us around wherever we go in the house,” Ramsey told The Dodo. “He is full of energy and we can count on an episode of the zoomies when we are outside.” Mosey is not the only pet in his new house. He even has a cat sister who he is reportedly getting used to slowly. “He is working on how to live with a cat,” Ramsey said. “Currently, he and our cat Barbara just like to yell at one another but I'm confident they will be friends soon.”No one knows where Mosley actually came from, all people know is that he is here to stay.
“Someone even stopped us because they recognized him from that picture that the Atlanta Humane Society posted a couple of weeks ago,” Ramsey said. “If we lay on the ground he automatically comes in to be the little spoon … Just adorable!" Mosley is a unique dog for sure and it isn't just because of his crooked smile. Even after being ignored for months at his previous shelter he still is one of the nicest dogs ever with the attention he receives. Even a little bit of attention makes him very happy. He is said to be very playful and always game to do almost anything.
People on social media agree that Moley is one of the most adorable dogs ever and that his crooked smile only makes him look cuter.
