School Principal Pens A Heartwarming Letter To Tooth Fairy After 1st Grader Loses Tooth

After the teachers at Gillett Elementary were unable to locate the tooth, the worried student approached Principal Curt Angeli, who knew exactly how to resolve the problem.

Every child gets excited at the prospect of being visited by the tooth fairy, but what if one misplaces the fallen tooth? One elementary school student from  Wisconsin was worried about the same after one of his loosened front teeth went missing while playing a game at the school playground, reports NBC 26.

Earlier this month, the distraught first-grader from Gillett Elementary was busy playing a made-up game of "ga-ga ball" along with his classmates when he suddenly discovered that his loose tooth was nowhere to be found.

Although it was obvious that the wobbly tooth might have been either swallowed by the boy or could have simply fallen somewhere out in the playground, his parents and teachers set out to scour the premises in the hopes of zeroing in on the boy's lost tooth.

Unfortunately, when they failed to locate it, the kid approached Principal Curt Angeli for a solution to this problem, who knew exactly how to help him. Typing an official to the Tooth Fairy, Angeli urged her to pardon the boy for the misplaced tooth.

The genuine notice read: "Dear Tooth Fairy: Today, [my student] lost a tooth while playing outside at recess. Unfortunately, it was lost in our ga-ga pit, and despite the valiant efforts of an intrepid search team, we were unable to recover the tooth. As a trained principal and hobby dentist, I can verify that there is definitely a gap in [the student’s] teeth that was not there this morning when he came in. Please accept this letter as official verification of a lost tooth and provide the standard monetary exchange rate you normally use for a real tooth."

Concluding the letter with a light-hearted note he wrote: "P.S. I am still waiting for the money for my wisdom teeth from 1987. Please remit as soon as possible."

A picture of this hilariously imaginative and thoughtful letter was later uploaded by another Gillett Elementary School teacher, Jenna Carlson, who captioned it: It’s a great day to be a tiger! 🤪.

Unsurprisingly, the post went viral, with social media users all around the world praising the amazing principal for going beyond the call of duty in order to comfort the little boy.

Praising Angeli for his actions, Facebook user Deborah Plummer wrote: Yes, but without him stepping in there would be a vast loss in this child's life. I'm so glad this principle stepped in to vouch for him like this - you did a great job, letterhead and all. This is one of the most important letters you have written in your career! Recalling the genuine and kind nature of Angeli, another user, Myriah Farrell, wrote: I love this! Mr. Angeli was my 6th grade teacher. His sense of humor hasn’t changed! How fun for this family!
