Kim Kardashian Welcomes Her Fourth Child, Interestingly Names Him 'Psalm'

In an Instagram post, Kim Kardashian revealed the name — Palm West — to the world. This should come as no surprise, considering the other unique names she's given the rest of her children

The latest addition to the Kardashian West family is the couple's fourth kid — Psalm West. Yes, the reality star posted a screenshot of her conversation with her husband Kanye West and captioned it with the name of their son, a week after his birth. The picture shows a sleeping Psalm wrapped in sheets inside his crib. The message that appeared right below reads as follows: Beautiful Mother’s Day with the arrival of our fourth child. We are blessed beyond measure. We have everything we need.

This comes right after the 38-year-old star took to Twitter to announce the arrival of her son. On May 10 she wrote: He's here and he's perfect! The mother-of-four shared daughters Chicago and North and sons Saint and Psalm with husband Kanye West. She immediately posted another tweet after the first. Unable to contain her excitement, she wrote: He’s also Chicago’s twin lol I’m sure he will change a lot but now he looks just like her.

A source told People what the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star and her husband had to say about the name they had picked for their latest arrival. "They have had a name in mind, but wanted to meet the baby before they decided. Kim and Kanye were both present for the hospital birth on Thursday, They are ecstatic. Their little boy is super cute and looks like Kim." The source also added that their other three children had met their newborn sibling, and after this meeting, it was apparent that North was "most excited".

The insider said, "The baby is still at the hospital today, but it seems he will be home before Mother’s Day." News about the baby's arrival was first announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Kris Jenner, the momager was the guest that night. During her conversation with the host, Kourtney Kardashian appeared out of the blue along with her three kids Reign Aston, 4, Penelope Scotland, 6, and Mason Dash, 9. To Jenner's surprise, Kim's kids Chicago, North, and Saint were also present.

40-year-old Kourtney was the one who informed her mother about Kim's surrogate being in labor. Apparently, the surprise visit also included Kim, but she couldn't make it to the show because she had to be at the hospital when she heard her surrogate had gone into labor. Kourtney revealed, "So, my mom doesn’t even know this, but Kim’s surrogate went into labor, so she’s at the hospital."

Kris was totally shocked and said, "What! What are we doing here." Ellen further asked, "Did anyone else know this?" to which the 40-year-old replied with a 'no'. While the episode wasn't aired early, Ellen made sure to share the exciting news. She tweeted a video clip from that episode and captioned it: I surprised @KrisJenner with 6 of her grandchildren. Then I surprised her with one more. Sending love to you, @KimKardashian and @KanyeWest! @kourtneykardash.

In April, Kim Kardashian shared her wish to go with an Armenian name for their son reports People. But during that time, she hadn't chosen any particular name. During an episode in Jimmy Kimmel Live! she revealed how she would've liked to name her son after her 32-year-old brother Rob. She said, "I was truthfully thinking about just naming him Rob, after my brother, Rob." The KKW beauty mogul explained how much she liked this name as it was shared by her father Robert as well. She added, "My brother approved it, so that’s like our one kind of name." However, she had reservations about this name as it didn't match with any of her other children.

During the "CBD & Meditation" themed bash, the guests were presented with a chance to suggest a name for baby number four. Although there were several names on the list, the reality star seemed to like the name "Robert Harut" more than the others. The name "Harut" is actually an Armenian word which means "he has risen". The choice was perfect as it was a seamless blend of Armenian and nostalgia.
