Called Kai Seat Lounge, they come in light green, teal and navy. They are currently available only on Pottery Barn's online store.
With summer upon us, this means we will be spending a lot of time in the pool, and what better way than to relax and unwind, with an added bonus of an envy-worthy tan with a help of a pool float. Pottery Barn has given an innovative twist to the retro bean bag that you can now use as a pool float! Called the Kai Seat Lounge, these giant bean bags are made from Sunbrella marine fabric that helps you chill in your pool this summer. Unlike the original bean bags, these won't drop to the bottom of the pool. These new floats are likely to evoke nostalgia and bring back memories of sinking into the bean-filled bags. While there are a lot of fancy and bright colored and well-designed floats out there, Pottery Barn has kept it simple and basic and we totally dig it. They come in light green, teal and navy. Priced at $199 each, the bean bag float can support a maximum of 300 pounds and is 27 inches wide and 17 inches tall when inflated.
The Kai Seat Lounges are not available in Pottery Barn stores and are only listed online for now. The retailer’s website describes the pool bean bags as capable of resisting mold, mildew, and stains. Pottery Barn also says it is fade resistant which could be a huge bonus in the summer and makes for the perfect pool party accessory!
With a host of designer floats out there, Pottery Barn has upped their game with the inflatable bean bags which could light up your pool party. Unlike the traditional bean bags, the floats aren’t heavy and also keeps you afloat. Pottery Barn also has many other inflatables including a butterfly lounger, a pink rosé float, and an inflatable shaped like a Golden Goose.
The demand for pool inflatables and swan-shaped ones went up after Taylor Swift and her then-rumored boyfriend Calvin Harris posed together on a massive inflatable swan in 2015. She posted the picture with a caption #swangoals. It kicked off a trend that saw celebrities like Reese Witherspoon, Sarah Hyland, and the Kardashians, posing with summer inflatables on Instagram.
If bean bag floats aren't your thing, you can also opt for Pottery Barn's release of the Kai Pool Noodles collection. This pool float is designed as a long noodle shaped inflatable made from Sunbrella fabric, which is again, stain and fade resistant.
To make the summer more eventful, brands have also come up with six-seater, glitter-filled island, floating drink coolers, food-themed floats, planes, trains, and automobiles. Amazon even released a cut Avocado targeting the millennials. With a plethora of options before you, you can now choose the ones that catch your fancy, and lounge in them to your heart's content!
