"It might be because today is 9/11, but this is the cloud formation I saw driving into work today. Doesn't it look like a firefighter running with a hose and an angel with the sun perfectly behind it?" the photographer wrote on Facebook.
We've seen some epic yet unbelievable (literally) photographs captured which reveal some of the most mesmerizing sights witnessed. People have captured UFOs, angels, dark entities, bizarre underwater creatures, weird rock and tree formations, strange animals and more.
While many extraordinary photos are usually artistic renditions or have been tampered with photo editing software, this incredible picture captured by a teacher Matt Snow in Oakleaf near Jacksonville really blew our minds when we first got a glimpse of it.
INCREDIBLE: A Florida viewer shared this photo on a day where we are remembering the many lives lost during 9/11 "This was the cloud formation today on my drive into Oakleaf. To me, it looks like a firefighter running toward an angel." (Credit: Matt Snow) pic.twitter.com/9z4V4udrat— NBC Charlotte (@wcnc) September 11, 2019
The photo, taken on the 18th anniversary of the Sept. 11 World Trade Centre terror attacks seems to show the most amazing natural cloud formation one could hope to witness. There appears to be a firefighter running towards an angel. Now the angel looks pretty evident, but the firefighter could be a silhouette of something else too. Matt claims to have taken this photo from his car on the way to work on Wednesday.
“It might be because today is 9/11 but this is the cloud formation I saw driving into work today," Matt Snow captioned the photo. “Doesn’t it look a firefighter running with a hose and an angel with the sun perfectly behind it?”
Snow works as a teacher in Oakleaf and told Fox 36 that he had to turn around the car and do a double-take to get a better picture. He couldn't believe his eyes the first time he snapped the photo and had to do it again to make sure he wasn't being deceived. But even on successive captures, he found the same silhouettes, plain and clear as ever. Pretty amazing!
"I couldn't believe what I just saw. My wife and I are both teachers and we drive that road every morning with our kids. Out of all days, today it looked like that." News outlets around Florida soon picked up the image and hundreds of online commenters weighed in, some saying they saw a fireman going toward an angel, while others thought they saw an eagle.
To me, it looks like Freddy Krueger going after Johnny #5, but maybe I watch too many movies.— ЄDԠЦИDФ DЄL ԠЦЍDФ (@edmundmusic) September 12, 2019
Clouds form in different ways. The warm air starts to rise because, when warm, it is lighter and less dense than the air around it. As it rises, its pressure and temperature drop causing water vapor to condense. Eventually, enough moisture will condense out of the air to form a cloud. But cloud formations like these are a whole other thing. It's almost as if they somehow developed creative artistic consciousness or something.
And as always, there were several skeptics on social media who found the story hard to believe. One user claims that "they're just cloud shapes", another one thinks he sees something completely different from a firefighter and an angel, while others are of the general opinion that the image has been digitally manipulated.

Can we get the same shot with an analog camera?
Uhm, I see a bird with widespread wings on a canoe, but whatever. And it’s just cloud shapes, you know.— Jade Jurek (@JadeJurek) September 12, 2019
