Michael Jackson's Son, Prince, Is Now A PROUD College Graduate: 'It's Been A Long Road,' Says Cousin TJ

The eldest child of the King of Pop donned his cap and gown after receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

While Paris Jackson often finds herself in the midst of the media spotlight for her singing and modeling career, Michael Jackson's eldest son has managed to stay under the radar most times. It is no surprise that Prince Jackson is also an equally famous member of the talented Jackson family, but the 22-year-old has been focusing more on his education and career rather than going down the path of glitz and glamor.

If you're wondering why he's in the news - well, Prince, whose real name is Michael Joseph Jackson Jr, is finally a college graduate! Yes, the oldest child of the King of Pop donned his cap and gown for his graduation ceremony after receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. As reported by Hollywood Life.

On Saturday, this was confirmed by none other than cousin TJ Jackson who took to Twitter to wish him: Prince, it’s been a long road but you did it. Keep learning, keep growing and keep giving back! So so proud of you. I love you. #graduation #congrats #proudcousin

An ecstatic Prince also shared videos of his classmates being called up to receive their diplomas. However, interestingly, when he received his own and sat down on his chair, he realized that the red envelope was empty. But he soon realized that most universities only hand out the actual printed out diplomas at a later date. But he was still extremely happy that he was finally a college graduate.

And that's not all. After the graduation ceremony ended, Prince rode his favorite motorcycle back home away from the Westchester, CA campus. Once he reached home, he took a video of the LMU Alumni that he had accidentally bought three years ago, when he was still in college. But this time, he finally took the first sip of coffee from that mug as he was officially an alumnus of the college. “Finally earned this sip,” he wrote on the video.

TJ Jackson served as Prince's guardian when his father Michael Jackson tragically passed away in 2009. Prince was 12 years old at the time when the late King of Pop died from an apparent cardiac arrest at the age of 50.

Michael Jackson has two other children, 21-year-old Paris and 17-year-old Prince Michael Jackson, known by the nickname Blanket. Prince was born in 1997 to Jackson and his ex-wife Debbie Rowe. Before getting admission into Loyola Marymount University, Prince had attended the prestigious Buckley School, that includes fellow celebrity alumni such as Matthew Perry, Kim Kardashian, and Rashida Jones.

This graduation news comes at an extremely difficult time for the Jackson family after allegations of sex abuse have been leveled against Michael Jackson. With HBO documentary 'Leaving Neverland' completely shifting the narrative around MJ's legacy, one question that will always persist is whether did he do it or not.

Many of his fans still argue that the documentary only portrayed one side of the story and there was no counternarrative - with Michael Jackson no more to defend himself. In the documentary, two men, James Safechuck and Wade Robson, had claimed they were abused by the singer when they were children.
