Some of the products that would be house in the store are personalized robes, Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, as well as an exclusively-designed range of house wands, added the release. The store has some very lofty aims and judging by how frenzied Potter fans usually are when it comes to their favorite thing in the world, the store might be able to achieve all of these.
"This will be the largest dedicated Harry Potter store in the world and will become a must-visit fan destination where Harry Potter enthusiasts can engage with interactive experiences and numerous photo opportunities as they step into the magic," said Sarah Roots, SVP Worldwide Tours and Retail, Warner Bros. Highlighting why New York was chosen as the destination to open this store and not any other place, she said, "We are very excited to be opening in New York."
Roots added, "It's the ideal city in which to launch with so many dedicated Wizarding World fans, a cutting-edge retail environment and a community that embraces innovative experiences." The release further added the larger goal behind opening of the store. "Harry Potter New York will be part of an expanding portfolio of Warner Bros. owned Wizarding World experiences that include Warner Bros. Studio Tour London —The Making of Harry Potter and Platform 9 ¾ retail shops," the released stated.
Warner Bros. is set to make more announcements about what all one can expect at the store in the latter part of the year. According to People, diehard Potterheads have been visiting a number of places connected to the franchise such as Harry’s childhood home in Godric’s Hollow as seen in the films but which is located in real life in the English village of Lavenham. It is originally known as the De Vere House. There are also listings on Airbnb for a cottage that looks like Hagrid’s hut, located in the ocean side town of Saltburn also in England.
