The 48-year-old star took to his Instagram on Friday and uploaded a shirtless picture of himself showing off his ripped and toned body. The picture shows Walbertough's six-pack abs and solidly-defined arms are quite apparent and is surely a reflection of the actor's hard work and perseverance.

The actor is known for his intense workout schedule, waking up before 4 a.m. (or earlier!) to make sure he has time to hit the gym.

Well speaking of friends, it seems that a few of Mark's buddies couldn't help but notice his gains. New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady extended a subtle compliment by commenting "We are looking for some skill players @markwahlberg,", to which the actor happily reciprocated by saying "@tombrady let coach know I’m coming for that spot!". We also had Mario Lopez, host for the syndicated entertainment news magazine show Extra praise Wahlberg's determination and hard work as he commented “Show em what fellas in their 40’s are all about! You look awesome bro!!”.
Early this year, the actor shared in a New Year's message to fans that he was aiming to live his happiest, healthiest life this year.
"We're gonna work harder. Whether it's 4 a.m. or 4 p.m., we get up, we put in the work and we're gonna inspire to be better. We're gonna get after it in 2019," he said -- as his wife joked about him finding a shirt. "God bless you and your family. We love you."

As for the diet to be followed, during the eight weeks, alcohol is to be avoided completely, and every morning should start with a cup of hot water and lemon. The diet changes as the weeks go on, from an alkaline diet in the first two-weeks to detox the body, to a four-week high protein plan, and two weeks eating high fat, low carb meals at the end.
Wahlberg sits at 5'8″ so not real tall and his average weight is right around 185lbs. Now as you can imagine, depending on which role he is playing/preparing for will determine how much muscle he will gain or lose. Throughout his movie roles, he had bulked up all the way to 221 lbs all the way down to 165.
