"I’m Not Dead & We're Gonna Raise Hell": Loretta Lynn Fiercely Responds To Deathbed Rumors

After a tabloid reported Lynn's family was preparing themselves for her departure, she took to social media platform to inform her fans that she's nowhere close to leaving!

Loretta Lynn is alive and kicking, and she's put an end to all the rumors that said otherwise. A tabloid reported that the 87-year-old country singer was on her deathbed after a stroke and that her family was preparing for the worst as her end was near. According to People, Lynn responded to the rumors with a video on her Facebook page that confirmed she's doing okay and that she's alive, despite her health conditions. Looking at the report on her iPad, she said,  "Hey, this says I’m in a nursing home and I’m on my deathbed. You’re kidding me! I’m not dead and neither is Willie! Both of us are coming back to life and we’re gonna raise hell."

In the video, Lynn referred to fellow singer Willie Nelson, who's had to face similar rumors in the past.  She captioned the video: Well, through the years they've said I'm broke, homeless, cheating, drinking, gone crazy, terminally ill, and even dead! Poor things can't ever get it right. I guess if those old pesky tabloids are harassing me then they're giving someone else a break......but I'm about an inch from taking 'em to Fist City! #raisinghell #yourmommashouldataughtyoubetter #tellthetruth #fistcity #trashtalkingtabloids #fakenews #liarliarpantsonfire

Her fans were glad to hear about the good news and Mary Stanford wrote:  Love you and your awesome fun spunk, Loretta! I thought about you & your friendship with Patsy Cline recently. I just found out she is buried at cemetery 3 miles from my house. I stood at her grave & it felt so peaceful. I kept thinking about her beautiful powerful voice and gone way too soon. I saw the bells you had put there in her honor. On the way home I played Crazy in the car.

Teresa Williams Allen added: You are beautiful. My aunt did genealogy and I am distant cousins to you. I just hope I will be as beautiful as you someday. Christine Rowe Campbell joined: I just read one were you were terminally ill and your family was preparing for the end of your life … I had to giggle because I've seen you on here to many times to know you look GREAT and Feeling good … besides, it would be all over the News … Love you Loretta show them FIST CITY

Loretta has been in and out of the hospital quite a few times over the past few years due to her health. In May 2017, she suffered a stroke, followed by a December 2017 fall that broke her hip. It made her quite weak, that she had to move out from her ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, for a home closer to her doctors in Nashville, but, "I wasn’t goin’ to let it stop me," she told People last year.

"People thought I wouldn’t come back from that," Lynn continued. "And they’re really shocked when I tell them, ‘Well, I’m doing good, I’m moving my arms, I’m moving all my parts and I can still sing.'” For now, she's doing better, and even though she's had enough scares for a lifetime, she doesn't plan on retiring any time soon! "As long as you dwell on the bad, it’s taking the life away from you that you need to be living."
