Amy Roloff ends the year on a high after getting engaged to her boyfriend of 3 years and moving into their new home.
Amy Roloff from Little People, Big World, is finishing the year, and the decade on a high after getting engaged to real-estate agent Chris Marek and moving into a new home. Amy Roloff celebrated Christmas with Marek at her new home and couldn't be more excited about it. "Chris and I celebrated Christmas in the new house! New memories and adventure together. What a change to be someplace new. And I’ll look forward to making dinner and having most of my kids and grandkids over!" wrote Amy Roloff before adding, "Gift of Christmas, not only Jesus but being with each other, embracing these moments as precious, not to take for granted but with gratitude."
The TLC star was previously married to Matt Roloff, her co-star from Little People, Big World. The couple had four kids twins together Jeremy and Zach Roloff, 28, son Jacob Roloff, 22, and daughter Molly Roloff, 25. They stayed married for 27 years before separating and finalizing their divorce in 2016. Amy Roloff then dated Chris Marek for 3 years before he asked her to marry him on their third anniversary. She couldn't envision herself getting married again after divorcing Matt Roloff. When asked if she and Marek planned on getting married, she had responded, "If I say yes, then that means my whole heart, everything is into it. … I do think [marriage] is forever," Amy Roloff told US Magazine in an interview. She certainly said yes when Marek popped the question. "Chris and I celebrated our 3rd year anniversary of dating last Wednesday. And to my wonderful happy surprise, he proposed and asked me to marry him! I couldn’t believe it! I cried, he had tears and of course, I said YES! I’m engaged and couldn’t be happier. I love this man so much," she wrote.
Earlier this year, in September, Roloff announced that she and Marek were getting married. "I’m excited, I’m so surprised, I’m thrilled! I never in a million years thought I’d be getting married again, but I also hoped for it. Now that it’s happening, I couldn’t be happier or more excited," said Roloff. The TLC star's house is just 15 minutes away from the Roloff Farms, where she lived previously. She co-owns Roloff Farms with her ex-husband Matt Roloff. Amy preferred to stay close to her family and that's been one of the reasons for moving just 15 minutes away from her old home.
Amy Roloff and Chris Marek's's first date was a long motorcycle ride and since then the adventure-loving couple has gone on many such rides, including a long ride to British Columbia, Canada. Chris Marek also appears to have become close with Amy Roloff's family members with Marek often featuring in family pictures on her social media pages. Amy Roloff has spent the holidays with her family and is loving every moment of it. "From abundant food to watching movies, conversations, nap, family walk, shopping, seeing my house, reading, wine, coffee, deserts, sleeping in a little ... made the weekend memorable," wrote Roloff. "I'm reminded again, as well, there’s always something to be thankful for every day."
She recently lost her mother, Patricia Knight, to a heart condition and shared the news on Instagram with an emotional tribute to her. "The woman who raised and taught me so much and loved me along w/ my dad passed away. She isn’t here anymore. I won’t be able to see and talk to her. And yet she’s not in pain and hurting anymore either." wrote Roloff. With marriage on the cards, his family close to her and the excitement of moving into a new home, life's looking good for the TLC star.
