Although the details surrounding the death of the TLC star's mother remains unknown, the obituary states that the family will gather at a  local Michigan funeral home on October 24 to honor Patricia Knight's loving memory. Following the death of her mother which was made public on Monday, the 55-year-old television personality took to Instagram to share her sorrow. In this post she wrote: It’s been a tough week after hearing sad news. But these two - my grandkids Jackson and Ember - always make me smile and melt my heart. 😊❤️. Simply, Love them so much. #grandkids #imthankful #imblessed #amyroloffssecondact love being a grandma!

Back in June, Roloff returned home to Michigan so she could spend some quality with her parents after her mother had to be admitted to the hospital. She shared the same with her Instagram family via a post which read: From Souix Falls SD to Going ‘home’ to see my parents. My mom isn’t doing so well and I need to see them. Every moment is precious the older I get and the older they get. ❤️. Like the old days I’m going to make dinner for them. This Michigan girl is coming home. 😊❤️ #amyroloffssecondact #michigan #homestate #puremichigan #dadandmom #lovemyfamily

In the due course of this trip, Roloff shared a picture of herself with her 90-year-old father sitting at the dinner table after paying Knight a visit at the hospital facility. She wrote: Wish it was for other reasons than my Mom being in the hospital- I love coming ‘home’ to Michigan. 😊. After visiting w/ my Mom in the hospital I made dinner for my Dad! He enjoyed it and I loved making it for him. My Mom is doing ok. The coming home and the care she may need is the tough part. Just glad I could be here! ❤️

She also patiently waited for her mother's return from the hospital. She stated: So glad I got to come home and visit w/ my Mom and Dad. Waiting to hear if she gets to come home today. She’s ready and tired of hospital food, that’s a good sign 😊.Her heart is weak though and she gets tired easily but her mind is sharp. The transition of slowing down and not doing all she’d like to do will be hard. Just need to appreciate the moments, what she can do and the days that are left. Thank you to everyone that so thoughtfully thought of me and my parents and for all your prayers. So kind and I so appreciate it.

The heartbreaking news about her mom's death comes just two weeks after Roloff announced her engagement with boyfriend Chris Marek. PEOPLE reports that Marek popped the question on September 18 on Roloff's birthday. "I’m excited, I’m so surprised, I’m thrilled. I never in a million years thought I’d be getting married again, but I also hoped for it! Now that it’s happening, I couldn’t be happier or more excited," said Marek after getting engaged. "I was very nervous! It had to be a heart-shaped diamond because I knew that’s what Amy wanted."
