Cream Come True: This Krispy Kreme Will Have Stadium-Style Seats, With Glaze Waterfall!

Firstly, the store is open for 24-hours! Secondly, the 4,500-square-foot retail space, which will sit at the corner of Broadway and 48th Street will be a "doughnut theater experience".

Technically, people will find their way to a doughnut shop like ants find their way to food, but since we're at it, why not have big lights to guide them to the shop? It'll make it easier for hungry humans to find the shop. According to CNN, Krispy Kreme is opening up a flagship store in 2020 in New York's Times Square, and it will feature the world's biggest Hot Light. Do you think that's the only unique factor about the store? You're in for a treat! First off, the store is open 24-hours! Secondly, the 4,500-square-foot retail space, which will sit at the corner of Broadway and 48th Street will be a "doughnut theater experience".

This means the store will showcase the doughnut making process from end-to-end, from the mixing of ingredients to running the tasty treats through a glaze "waterfall." I'm not sure if they will let humans go through the glaze waterfall, though. Also, after viewing how donuts are made, our stomachs are going to start grumbling from hunger. When that happens, they have stadium-style seating within the shop so you have great seats to view the whole show, because the location is on Broadway, after all.

“Our direction is to be the most loved sweet treat brand in the world. In the most iconic city in the world, the Krispy Kreme Times Square Flagship will showcase our brand on the global stage and inspire customer wonder. We love making awesome doughnuts – and New Yorkers deserve hot and fresh doughnuts!” said Michael Tattersfield, CEO and President of Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation.

Krispy Kreme seems to be confident that the Times Square shop will serve more guests annually than any other of its locations in the world. Of course, they seem to be setting up their flagship store in a tourist spot and a crowded area as is. Well, we can expect the opening of the grand store to create quite a frenzy! When the chain opened up its first location in Ireland last year, more than 300 people were lined up at 7 a.m. at the doughnut chain's location in Dublin. Having a 24-hour drive-thru at the location added more problems!

People just kept lining up at the drive-thru day and night, playing loud music, and just being generally loud, blocking the neighborhood and creating quite the scene. Drivers, of course, sitting in the drive-thru kept pounding their horns, and all that honking kept surrounding residents up until the early hours of the morning. How delightful, and all for that glazy goodness. True, it is delish, but is it worth so much trouble?

Ultimately, it got out of hands, and Krispy Kreme had to issue an apology to the residents of the neighborhood and then cut down on the number of hours the drive-thru remained open. Krispy Kreme is proud of its Fundraising program, which for decades has helped non-profit organizations raise millions of dollars in needed funds. Krispy Kreme doughnuts can be found in approximately 12,000 groceries, convenience and mass merchant stores in the U.S. The Company has nearly 1,400 retail shops in 33 countries.

Everyone was happy and excited about the news. Narun Nahar Nipa wrote: It’s been a long time but I still can remember the taste of the first doughnut I ate in Krispy Kreme. Barry Labell added: Thanks for sharing! Just another reason to go to NYC! Will have to wait till it opens next year! David Almond added: The NY Police Department has most of their force concentrated in this area so they are in the perfect spot for doughnuts.
