Jimmy Buffet Launches Margaritaville-Themed Retirement Community, And It Looks Amazing!

If you're thinking about investing in a home which embodies the spirit of adventure, then Latitude Margaritaville is the place for you.

After winning people's hearts with songs that provide an escape into an island lifestyle, American singer Jimmy Buffet has now announced his plans for creating a string of retirement communities inspired by his hit song Margaritaville. Apart from the housing facilities, the 72-year-old also plans on creating a chain of resorts and restaurants that have a similar theme. According to the Rolling Stone, this plan caters to Parrotheads who are "55 and better" and are seeking an "active adult community".

Latitude Margaritaville planned on opening its initial branches in Daytona Beach, Florida, Hilton Head, South Carolina, and Watersound, Florida. Now, several locations are prepped and ready for 1977 hit song Margaritaville singing people who are now nearing their prime age of retirement. This is a product of a collaboration between Buffet's company Margaritaville Holdings and developer Minto Communities. I'm sure many of you would be thinking, "Why Latitude Margaritaville?"

The website answers this question by sharing the amazing amenities available to the residents. Communities are said to have large town pools as per TipHero along with Band Shells which would feature live performances from time to time giving you the required dose of entertainment. Also, the availability of open areas to spend quality time with your family is a great selling point.

What's more, the website reads, "Inspired by the legendary music and lifestyle of singer, songwriter and best-selling author Jimmy Buffett, your new home in paradise features exciting recreation, FINtastic dining and live entertainment." The place will also provide a fitness center,  tennis courts, theatre, walking trails,  bar and restaurant, including access to a private beach club on the Atlantic Ocean as per Fox8 News.

If you're looking for something that is more vacation based, the Change in Latitude Getaway will take care of that as well. You will be able to book your stay at "beautifully furnished Margaritaville-inspired home(s)" situated at the Margaritaville Daytona Beach. Apart from witnessing the gorgeous designs, you will be provided access to the community amenities which will give you a taste of what it is like to be a homeowner at this place.

The website adds: "You've dreamed of living in paradise and now you can test the waters with a sun-splashed Change in Latitude Getaway at Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach! Stay in a beautifully furnished Margaritaville-inspired home at Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach and see the innovative design, quality construction, premium features and unparalleled value first-hand. Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach secured a place among 50 other Best Master-Planned Communities situated in the United States in a recent edition of Where to Retire magazine. Due to the "lifestyle of food, fun and music, coupled with tropical resort amenities and lively calendar of activities and events" it managed to make to the top 50 list. Raving about embodying "the spirit of adventure in your soul" and the "happy place in your mind" this paradise-like community seems like the best way to live out the rest of your life.

Apart from building these heaven-like places to stay, the company also decided to participate in a little giveaway and a Huber Heights, Ohio-based resident, Michael C. turned out to be the lucky winner. Now, he is the proud owner of a brand new home in Latitude Margaritaville community located in Daytona Beach, Florida. The avid Wheel of Fortune watcher said, "I watch Wheel of Fortune almost every night and I have entered so many of the sweepstakes. I didn’t believe it was real when they called me. I’m so excited to become a part of this new community."

While this place sounds too good to be true, the place also offers a getaway option that allows one to spend a brief period of time in the area and I'm sure you will be able to judge for yourself after spending some time here. So, if you're looking for your ultimate home, this has to be on the top of your list as the price for the Daytona Beach community homes starts as low as $200,000 for 1,500-2,500 sq ft structures.
