J.Lo's Designer Makes Stunning Dresses For Fan With Early-Aging Disorder On Her 13th B'day

Even though Michael Costello has designed for many celebrities, he believes it's always more rewarding to bring a smile on the face of Adalia Rose, making her dream come true.

Michael Costello has designed gorgeous, breathtaking dresses for several A-listers including Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez. This definitely means that there are several others who have sought inspiration from his designs or simply felt the urge to try on one of his magical creations. Among the latter, is a 13-year-old YouTube star, Adalia Rose.  Chances are, she may even be the designer's biggest fan, according to People.

Adalia loves everything about clothes and fashion, but she suffers from Progeria, which is a condition that causes people who have it to look much older than they actually are, and in Adalia's case, they also have a smaller frame. As sad as it is, this makes it quite hard for Adalia to dress according to her dreams. I've always been a fan of people who do the best they can, despite the situation they're in, and Adalia Rose is a classic example. This explains why good things come her way, and thanks to Michael Costello, he brightened up a teenager's 13th birthday. He recently surprised Adalia with a pair of custom-made dresses for her 13th birthday party in an adorable Instagram video, and as expected it's gone viral.

In the clip, Adalia unwraps the gift from Costello, 36, and says “Oh my god,” before giving her mom a knowing look and immediately telling her, “This is Michael Costello.” The excited teen can be heard saying, “I’m having a moment,” as she ecstatically wears a turquoise colored two-piece dress that was inspired by Princess Jasmine's costume in Aladdin.

A second video shows Adalia showing off her dance moves in the dress. She then goes on to display a second, fuchsia-colored one-shoulder gown, also courtesy of Costello.

“They are so perfect and I even want to wear them while I’m just at home!” Adalia wrote in the Instagram caption of a post showing her opening the present. “Michael Costello you did such an amazing job making everything I wish you can make all my clothes! I love you so so so much and I send you a million hugs.”

Costello revealed that Adalia who is a social media star (she has more than 13 million Facebook followers and nearly 2.5 million YouTube subscribers) has long been a fan of him and his work.  He also revealed that the two of them met up several months ago in Austin, Texas, after she heard he was in town and reached out for dinner. “It was the cutest. She was so adorable and so sweet,” he says of their initial meeting. “She’s so tiny that you instantly think she’s going to be like a baby, and you want to baby her. But I didn’t realize that she’s 13 years old, and she’s like any other savvy 13-year-old. She was a little sassy!”

Throughout dinner, the two of them had an intense chat about fashion and she explained to the designer what styles she preferred.  “She said she loves J. Lo, and anything that J. Lo wears she likes to wear, and she loves flowy fabrics and sparkles,” he says with a laugh.

“And I said, ‘Okay, you’re my ideal client. You are the Michael Costello girl.’” So, when he learned that she would soon be turning 13, he knew just what he had to gift her.

Working with Adalia and her mother, Costello managed to get all her measurements and other requirements as he wanted to gift her a pair of custom-made gowns. “She knew instantly that she wanted a Princess Jasmine dress,” he said. While it would have made Adalia happy to know that he was giving her the dress of her dreams, he hid from her the fact that another dress was on her way, too. He really wanted to surprise her.

Even though he has designed for a number of celebs, Costello said it's more rewarding to bring a smile on the faces of people like Adalia. “Knowing that we have the capability to make something for them and to celebrate them and to make them feel good about themselves… I just wanted to make her birthday dreams come true,” he says.

“I feel like I’ve dressed everyone. It’s an incredible milestone for my career. I feel like I’ve done so much and I’ve been blessed so much, and now what I really want to do is start meeting more people like Adalia… What’s it to me? A couple of days on the sewing machine? A few hundred dollars’ worth of fabric and time, just to make someone else’s dream come true.”
