It's scUBER TIME: You Can Now Take An Uber Submarine And Explore Life Underwater!

The company states that from next week, people will be able to book the two-person scUber through their Uber app and take a tour of the underwater World Heritage site from Queensland.

Innovation is constant and we are subjected to new things on a daily basis. The latest service that's being offered to us is in the form of an underwater submarine by Uber, our beloved taxi service. According to Daily Mail, an underwater Uber service, known as the 'scUber', will be taking passengers to explore the Great Barrier Reef by chartering a submarine.  The company states that from next week, people will be able to book the two-person scUber through their Uber app and take a tour of the underwater World Heritage site from Queensland.

The scUber is piloted and battery powered. The company will take 20 dives between May 27 and June 18 with each trip lasting an hour through a partnership with environmental advocacy group Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef. When it comes to the cost of a ride, it's going to be a bit steeper than when you hail a cab. The rates are expected to be a whopping $1030 per person. But, when you're paying this much, the cost also seems to include a helicopter ride to the submarine's dive location. Up in the air and underwater!

For passengers who are lucky, and rich enough to afford a ride,  the sub will go down to 20 meters below sea level through a designated path that lets them see the reef up close. It goes without saying that not everyone would be able to afford a ride on this one, so you WIN yourself a ride on scUber. To enter, all you need to do is write in 25 words or less why you should experience the wonder of the Great Barrier Reef with scUber.

The prize comes with a complete package and it's as attractive as it can get. It includes return airfares and transfers. 5 nights luxury accommodation staying at Riley, a Crystalbrook Collection Resort. Experience of a lifetime on the Great Barrier Reef with Quicksilver Cruises and Nautilus Aviation including a ride in scUber at Agincourt Reef. You also get a chance to visit the World-heritage listed Daintree Rainforest Tour. If that wasn't enough, then you also get $250 AUD Uber credit for use in the Uber and Uber Eats app.

The Great Barrier Reef in Australia is one of the most famous tourist destinations even now, but thanks to climate change and global warming, the flora and fauna are not as great as it used to be at one time. But, to be able to visit the Reefs will be mesmerizing because "it represents approximately 10% of all coral reefs in the world. There's also going to be a lot for you to cover because the Great Barrier Reef is the size of about 70 million football fields."

It's the largest natural feature on Earth and is the only living structure that can be seen from the moon. It's not the Great Wall of China like we all assumed. You'll be in for a treat when you visit the reef as the Great Barrier Reef is home to the 'Great 8' marine encounters: whales, turtles, manta rays, clown fish, sharks, potato cod, Maori wrasse and the giant clam. Oh, it's going to be just so magical to witness all of this in real life.

There's more: The Reef is the world's largest and longest coral reef system, stretching for 2,300km from the tip of Cape York in the north to Bundaberg in the south. That's about the distance between New York and Dallas! The Great Barrier Reef has also been a World Heritage Area since 1981 and the world's first reef ecosystem to be recognized by UNESCO, the Great Barrier Reef is highly protected and one of the best managed marine areas on Earth. Worth a try, isn't it? You can check it out here.
