The Presidential race of 2020 is almost at its last leg, as voters everywhere are heading to polls today to exercise their right to cast a ballot. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, elections in many states are well underway as it has offered people an early voting method via mail. That being said, thousands of polling places are opening bright and early to welcome voters today who prefer casting their ballot in-person. This means you still have a chance to vote and play a role in one of the most consequential elections ever. But where would you cast your ballot?

Where Is My Polling Place?

Locating your polling spots could be a challenge as the usual places may have changed to better accommodate the mandatory social distancing protocols. To find the polling place on Election Day this Nov. 3 this is what you have to do:

1. Visit vote.org using your phone, tablet, or computer

2. Click on the Polling Place Locator option

3. Choose the state you're registered to vote in

4. Enter the required information (which will differ from state to state).
If the polling location is not available online yet, keep checking for updates. You can also contact your local county clerk to see if they can provide you with more details.

How To Check My Registration Status?

If you are not sure whether you are already registered or need to update your information do so by visiting the National Association of Secretatores of states' online tool or open vote.org and click on the Check Your Registration option.

If you still haven't registered, click on Register To Vote on vote.org or select Register To Vote on the National Association of Secretatores of states' site. In case you have already mailed in your ballot make sure to track your ballot to ensure that it arrives at the election office on time. But most importantly, don't attempt to vote via mail and cast a ballot in person because double voting is illegal under federal law. Also, make sure that you are not engaging in illegal voter intimidation practices and know how you can report the matter if you witness it.
