Finding the one with whom you can spend the rest of your life with is definitely special. But being able to live with them until you both reach 100 years of age is undoubtedly a blessing. A couple from Savannah, Georgia, has been blessed with a love like that and they are adorable, to say the least. Billy and Nellie have enjoyed being married for almost 80 years after falling in love with each other in high school. Billy clearly remembers the day he first laid eyes on his beautiful wife. "She was practicing for a play at Savannah High School on Washington Avenue," he remembers fondly.

"A friend of mine waved at her and spoke to her. I said, 'who is that?' He said, 'That’s Nellie. She’s in my class, would you like to meet her?’ He turned the car around, took me back, and introduced me to Nellie," continued Billy. "The same girl as a teenager in high school and marrying and staying with her for 79 years, can't beat that." What's more, the pair was born just four days apart in 1920 before attending the same high school, falling in love, becoming highschool sweethearts, and starting a beautiful family. While people constantly change their lifestyles, this couple has lived in the same house to this day.

The couple takes pride in their three wonderful sons, six grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They have been together through the bad and good times and even though it's been nearly 8 decades since they have been together, they still love each other the same. The two recently turned 100 and when their family realized it, they knew something special had to be arranged for the two. Unfortunately, the ongoing pandemic ruined their plans for a memorable party that they had been planning for them. But the family did not give up and despite the challenges made it work by making sure that everyone followed the recommended social distancing guidelines.

Not only did Billy and Nellie celebrate their 100th birthday together over dinner, but their family organized a parade for them as well. Lawn chairs were placed in the front yard of their house so that the pair could sit back and enjoy a parade of bikes, golf carts, and cars arranged specially for there. Among the decorations were a lot of balloons a huge "Happy 100th Birthday Billy & Nellie" signs or the lovely couple. According to WTAE, Nellie was looking more beautiful than usual as she donned a special birthday sash and wore her precious smile on her face.

As for Billy, the elderly looked nothing less of dashing with his special hat on which shared the news of their milestone birthday. Of course, the lovely couple was beyond elated by the effort of their family, and although it was not a grand party and not every one of their relatives could be there, the pair was very touched by the thoughtful gesture of the family. "Very, very loved, for somebody to do all this work for us. I’m speechless, too, not speechless that they love me, but that somebody would go through all this trouble," shared Nellie. The two also had a few lessons to offer as well. "All I know is work hard, whoever you’re working for as an employee. And go to church," shared Billy. Meanwhile, Nellie had a simple yet meaningful piece of advice. "Love the Lord."
