A married couple from Romania decided to bid adieu to this world after losing their young son to cancer. The lifeless bodies of Nicu Arava and his wife Vali were found beside their dead nine-year-old son, Cristian Dimitris Arava reports Mirror. Unable to cope with the grief of losing their only child to the deadly disease, the despondent couple committed suicide. Neighbors discovered the corpses of the couple, who were both 46, close to their son's, at their apartment situated in the city of Constanta.

After investigating the tragic crime scene, Prosecutor Sadic Zafer revealed that the mother appeared to have hanged herself after which her body was placed beside Cristian and covered with a blanket. As for the father, his body was found hanging in the kitchen. Apart from this, the investigators found a 13-page farewell letter in which the married couple revealed the details of their heartbreaking story, which began many years ago when their son, Cristian, was first diagnosed with a brain tumor.

The deceased mother expressed her grief over the fragile nature of her son's life through a computer blog which was originally written about seven years ago, revealed investigators. "I felt like I was dying myself when I heard the diagnosis. I can't express the pain that two parents feel when finding such terrible news about their child. He was only two years old," read the blog post written by the mother. Despite doctors' efforts to shrink the brain tumor, it kept growing to their dismay. So, the doctors informed Cristian's parents that it was, unfortunately, impossible to remove the tumor via an operation. The final words posted on the blog read: "Our only hope that Cristian is a lucky child and the tumor will stop growing is now shattered. The thought that every moment could be fatal, it drives me crazy."
