The furious dad was looking for restitution from the man who had 'taken' his daughter's virginity.
The pandemic and its resultant lockdown have granted us excessive free time to spend with our loved ones and catch up on activities that we have been procrastinating. But it seems like many have been overwhelmed with this sudden availability of time. One of these people is a father who thought it was the best opportunity to write a two-page letter to his daughter's old high school boyfriend who had taken her virginity. The furious dad was looking for restitution for the man's act, something that had happened over 10 years ago.
Parents who speak about their children's virginity like it's a possession that they personally own are the creepiest motherfuckers around.— Ian Whetstone (@IanWhetstone) May 28, 2020
Of all the people, it was the man's wife of seven years who discovered the angry letter and was shared on Twitter by a friend. One of my best and oldest friends broke up with his high school girlfriend over a decade ago. Today, his wife of 7 years found this absolute ornament in their mailbox. Just...stop what you're doing and read, wrote user Isaac N. The dad, who remains anonymous, revealed he learned "you stole my daughter's virginity" nearly 10 years ago and initially wanted to "forgive" the man. "But after I confronted you about it and you expressed repentance, I later learned that you have since gone and done the same to others," he continued.
Later he realized that it was "more like winning a game" for the former boyfriend than "the despicable deed it was" and so he "decided to irrevocably retract any offer of forgiveness." You're mistaken if you think that it was a hasty decision made by the father who spent his time "in the interim" studying scriptures and praying to come to a decision. The indignant dad then mentions how he used to be "a man of modest means" but no more, especially after the former boyfriend "deliberately took from me my most precious treasure. A treasure I invested my heart and soul and every available resource in creating." Yes, he's speaking about his daughter's virginity.
He then went on to accuse the now-married man of robbing him the "the sublime joy of giving my pure, virgin daughter away in marriage to her chosen husband" and of course breaking his and God's trust. The father then explains that because the man "has never raised a daughter", he will never be able to understand the anger he is feeling. "However, I will tell you that my wrath against you is so great that to kill you by prolonged and extreme torture followed by the thorough desecration and destruction of your corpse would not be enough to extinguish my anger," he vividly explained.
Couple of things to note:— Mike (@basilisk078) May 28, 2020
1) This dude talks like his daughter is an object, not a person. Creepy.
2) Being a virgin doesn't mean shit anymore because people aren't things to be traded away.
3) Bible also says "never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God"
Luckily, the father is a man of faith, and so he would restrain from harming him physically and as a Christian, he cannot even hate the man enough to wish him hell. What a relief! It doesn't end there. The father goes on to make references to Bible verses about Jacob wanting to marry Rachel and in exchange worked for seven years for her father. But he notes that the ex-boyfriend had made no such arrangement with him. "You took my daughter's virginity through deception and seduction," he resolved. "Therefore, it was stolen, and you are a thief and a liar."
I'm particularly alarmed that your friend's Christianity is the deciding factor which keeps this gentleman from straight-up murdering him.— Azure 'Disarm Racist Pigs' Lunatic (@azurelunatic) May 28, 2020
Per the Bible, a thief is supposed to repay in sevenfold what he has stolen. Applying this logic, he wanted "49 years of the prime years of your life." If you think this is weird, the father goes on to petition the courts of heaven to take the man's youth "and all the good that goes with it" and transfer it to the dad. "Specifically I demand divine restitution that will age you and rejuvenate me 49 years," he wrote. The dad is so confident that he notes, "Therefore, if from this date you discover that you have aged significantly or are aging rapidly, know that it is not a medical condition. It is the judgement of God."
Without the slightest bit of hyperbole, this is the most batshit insane thing I’ve ever read in my life. This guy is an absolute lunatic. I would worry about my or my wife’s safety, honestly. This isn’t something a mentally healthy person does.— The Lamityville Horror: Awake at 5AM!! (@AnxiousPenman) May 29, 2020
The dad assures that he wouldn't give the man his youth back under any circumstances, just in case you're wondering. "Nothing you can do could restore my daughter’s virginity and our family’s honor. You have also stained your family’s honor, but that is another matter you must face with them," he added. Concluding the letter he wrote, "You must still repent and ask God for His forgiveness to have any hope of salvation. I do not expect He is pleased with you." The tweet was liked over 57,000 times. In an update Isaac N. shared a message form the "victim" herself. The dad's daughter wanted everyone to know this- So...the internet did it’s thing and the ex gf has demanded I set the record straight: she, in fact, broke up with him.
