Life gets tough for everyone and despite being the strongest person, they deserve some support and care, too.
One of the biggest misconceptions people have about strong people is that they don't ever feel tired or sad. I mean, I wish I could tell these ignorant fools that even the strongest person is bound to feel tired and exhausted at some point. We are human, too. Be it the love and care they shower on others or the independence they choose, they can feel tired and want to take a break at times. It is only but natural and there is nothing wrong with it. It's really tiring when people keep coming to them, only to share their troubles and woes. They expect their problems to be solved, but how many people actually ask if they've got anything going on?
The thing is - because they're so strong on the outside, people think they have no problems in their life. These people think strong people are the luckiest because they have no worries, but that's exactly the opposite of reality. These people have to comfort people in need and pretend they're okay, all while fighting a battle that no one else knows of. Life gets tough for everyone and despite being the strongest person, they deserve some support and care, too. This year has been tumultuous for all of us, so it's the right time to check up on that person who has always been the rock of the group.
Just because they don't ask for help doesn't mean they don't need it. In fact, they may need it now more than ever, but they might hesitate to ask, because they're unsure of how that request will be perceived. If you are that tough person holding it together, then do not hesitate to ask for support. Remember, no one is invincible; everybody goes through hard times. Even the toughest among us will need love, care, and support at some point. So we need to make sure that we’re there for each other to lean on when times get tough. Please, don't forget to shower them with love and care. These people were there for you during some of your darkest days.
If you can't do that, at least give them some respect. They've helped you when you needed them. Let's face it, no one likes feeling lonely; it can quite seem like the end of the world. You know it because you've been there, but you got out of that dark hole because of that strong person in your life. Now, it's your turn to be there for them, even if you don't really know how to deal with their problems. Sometimes, even your silence can be a saving grace for them. Remember, it's okay to break down at times. This does not mean that you're not a strong person. You're brave, despite how you feel. This feeling is temporary, but there's always light at the end of the tunnel.
