The beautiful artist ended her statement by saying, "Their love and support to help us raise money for the precious four-ledgers means more to me than I can say."

The 97-year-old actress/singer's career kickstarted with her hit song 'Sentimental Journey'. She then went on to record more than 650 songs which attracted millions of fans to worship her. Her stellar performance in 'Calamity Jane', 'Pajama Game', and 'Pillow Talk' left an everlasting imprint on the world. She also starred in The Doris Day Show which aired between 1968-1973.

Doris day was blessed with a beautiful personality that people just couldn't resist and that inked her in the immortal pages of Hollywood history. The iconic lady also accepted an award at the 1989 Golden Globes after 30 years of disappearance from television. Since her performance in the popular sitcom, she had said goodbye to her acting career. After a final TV interview which was broadcasted globally in 1994, she was never seen on camera apart from a few interviews.
