Formerly the Mizner’s Lounge and Commander Porter’s, the "re-imagined" lounge will feature a signature bar, library showcase, a garden room and an outdoor patio.
While we know Disney caters mostly to young kids, it also makes sure that adults have a good time too. The happiest place on the earth sure got happier not just for kids but for parents as well. Recently, Disney announced the opening of a themed lounge after the hit Disney movie Beauty and the Beast at its Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. In a post on April 12 on the Disney World blog, Jeremy Schoolfield, Managing Editor, Walt Disney World Resort Public Relations Disney World announced the opening of this much anticipated new hangout. "Tie your napkin around your neck, because we are excited to announce that a new "Beauty and the Beast" inspired lounge is coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa this fall. The enchanting lounge will celebrate the magic and romance of the popular Disney live-action movie," he wrote.
The lounge was formerly known as the Mizner’s Lounge and Commander Porter’s. However, this is all in the past as the new themed lounge is here to stay and guests are sure to get all the feels of being in the movie itself. The post by Schoolfield further states that the entire place has been "re-imagined" and will also feature four different and absolutely unique parts in the lounge. He wrote. "The re-imagined lounge will feature four unique spaces inspired by Belle and the Beast."
The first part of this new lounge will be the signature bar that "will glow from the light of a magnificent gold chandelier," and is directly influenced by Belle's gown. The post mentions in this context that the bar "takes its inspiration from Belle’s flowing ball gown, with subtle nods to the Beast’s magical rose." Another part of the lounge that will be to die for is the library. Bibliophiles and those who have read the beautiful tale of Beauty and The Beast pay special attention!
"The formal library showcases classical baroque designs and French furnishings inspired by Belle, with hints of the Beast’s friends." Now if you have seen this beautiful movie you will recall that the Beast's entire house came alive at night. So does friends here actually mean the different items inside his castle that come alive at night such as the teapots, candles, and clocks who are also workers in the castle? Is Disney implying that these "friends" will come to life? Well, we'll just have to find out for ourselves, won't we?
Then there is the garden room whose designs are directly influenced by the forest that surrounds the castle in the movie. The garden room "will be a whimsical space that draws its inspiration from the enchanted forest surrounding Beast’s castle," Schofield's post reads. And to top it all, the resort will also have an outdoor patio that will particularly cater to the romantic. The garden has been designed in such a way that it "will evoke the romance of Beast’s garden terrace."
In February, Scary Mommy reported a new "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique location" will open during the summer at the picturesque Grand Floridian Resort & Spa that is located on the banks of the Seven Seas Lagoon. This quaint bar and lounge will be the place where "you can put our service to the test and share a tale as old as time." Apart from this Beauty and Beast themed lounge there is also another place that you can try. This is especially for those who cannot wait for the opening of the new lounge and are obsessed with the Beauty and the Beast.
This is the Beauty and the Beast restaurant in Disney World called 'Be Our Guest' and is located inside the Beast’s castle. Some of the things that you do here are to help yourself to a sumptuous meal of pan-seared salmon, grilled strip steak with garlic-herb butter and triple chocolate cupcakes. Apart from the restaurant, there is a low key but nevertheless beautiful Gaston’s Tavern that has the LeFou’s Brew that is sure to satiate your experience.
