A terrified 8-year-old girl was left in tears after witnessing her adorable puppy being murdered with a poison dart. Shynali Risbibi from Taraz, southern Kazakhstan was on her way to school when she saw a ruthless pest controller killing her adorable spaniel, named Barsik, just because he didn't have a lead reports The Sun. The heartbreaking incident unfolded last Thursday after Shynali happened to walk 33 feet from her house, where the pest controller, killing stray canines in the area, shot innocent Barsik in the neck with a dart laced with poison.
CCTV footage from the area shows how the helpless dog was trying to return home following the unexpected attack. The footsteps of the dying pooch are eventually slowed down as he falls on the ground with Shynali gently strokes him in the heartbreaking video. After shooting the animal with the dart, the man is seen standing in the back and checking his pneumatic air rifle. Finally, he approaches Barsik, grabs him by the neck and walks away with the corpse, leaving behind the devastated girl who is then seen rushing home to get some help.
Speaking to local media, Shynali's mother recalled just how terrified her daughter was. "My daughter ran home in tears. She was shaking and barely could speak," she confessed. After her daughter narrated the whole incident, both her parents went outside to look for the man. "After we realized what happened, my husband and I ran outside and found that man. After a huge quarrel, the worker opened his van and showed us Barsik. He was lying in there, dead, among other canine corpses," she added with a heavy heart.
Sharing her daughter's current condition, she said, "Shynali cried the whole day. We did not dare to tell her what we saw in the van. Now we are looking for a black Spaniel to adopt." After this reached the head of Animal Control, Anuarbek Kaltaev, he condemned the worker for carrying an air rifle in front of the child. Speaking of the steps they have taken he said, "The worker was reprimanded for carrying the air rifle in front of the child. The case is going to be investigated by the specialists of our unit. The worker will be fired if found guilty."

Several animal activists in the area reportedly said that such an incident was not unusual for the area. Irina Keller, an animal rights activist said, "In spring this year an animal control worker killed a pet dog in front of its owner, a nine-year-old girl. The girl shielded the dog with her body and the worker pointed his rifle at her. She got scared and stepped aside. Then he killed her dog." She further added, "The animal control workers kill everything that moves with poison darts and are paid by their unit for each corpse."
