When the news about the hit 90s sitcom, F.R.I.E.N.D.S, making a comeback broke, it caused an immediate frenzy among fans who simply cannot wait to see the legendary cast reunite. The series finale aired in 2003 and fans have been asking for a  reunion since. Finally, our wishful thinking is soon going to become a reality. The main cast of the show was the first to announce the reunion. While everyone shared a picture of the sitcom, Matt LeBlanc decided to share a picture of the original cast of M*A*S*H to make the announcement along with the caption, "It's happening."

Although the original stars of the show didn't reveal much about the unscripted plot other than merely posting an iconic photograph, it was Courtney Cox who simply couldn't contain her excitement. During a recent episode of Kevin Nealon's podcast Hiking With Kevin, 55-year-old Cox expressed her enthusiasm about reuniting with her friends for the upcoming unscripted special, reports Daily Mail. "So the exciting thing is that we're all going to get together for the first time, in a room, and actually talk about the show, and it's going to be on HBO Max," said the star who plays the role of Monica Geller on the show. "I'm so excited. We're going to have the best time. It's going to be great."

While hiking alongside Nealson, the actress elaborated on her anticipation about the reunion show with co-stars David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, and Matt LeBlanc. "But we really haven't all done that and actually sat there and talked about and reminisced about this incredible experience that we had. It's gonna be fantastic," she shared. In the course of the interview, Cox revealed that all six members did have two closed-door reunions, one (dinner) at Cox's residence and the other at Aniston's house. Although it took the cast forever to get together they did have a jolly good time according to the artist.

"The ideal for me — and we just actually recently did this, and it took forever. I don’t know how many years it was, maybe 15 years — and we finally all got together and had dinner," she told Nealson according to PEOPLE. "And when we get together, which is never … it just doesn’t happen very often, like twice since we ended the show — it’s just the most fun. We laugh so hard." Addressing the impact the show had on people, Cox said, "I’m so thrilled that I was on a show that people actually learned how to speak English because they watched the show. It’s just touched so many people’s lives."

Thanks to the folks at Warner Media, we get to see all of the friends together, again! The unscripted cast reunion special will be available to subscribers at the launch of HBO Max, along with all 236 episodes of the Emmy-winning series. According to Variety, the cast will receive at least $2.5 million each for participating in the special. The celebration of the beloved 90s show will see the stars returning to Stage 24, in the Warner Bros. Studio where the series was originally shot. "Guess you could call this the one where they all got back together — we are reuniting with David, Jennifer, Courteney, Matt, Lisa, and Matthew for an HBO Max special that will be programmed alongside the entire F.R.I.E.N.D.S. library," said Kevin Reilly, chief content officer, HBO Max and president, TBS, TNT, and truTV, in a statement

"I became aware of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. when it was in the very early stages of development and then had the opportunity to work on the series many years later and have delighted in seeing it catch on with viewers generation after generation. It taps into an era when friends – and audiences – gathered together in real-time and we think this reunion special will capture that spirit, uniting original and new fans," he continued. If you wish to rewatch the show before enjoying the reunion but don't own a copy, we've got you covered.
