On Sunday, September 1, 2019, the comedian-actor was rushed to the hospital after his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda tumbled over into an embankment, according to California Highway Patrol, reported BBC.

The 40-year-old entertainer was in the passenger seat while the car was being driven by Jared Black. A third person, Rebecca Broxterman, said to be Jared's fiance, was present in the car as well, according to Today.

In the accident, both Jared and Kevin were severely injured, sustaining "major back injuries" while Rebecca managed to get away with not a lot of injuries.

According to CNN, the car was a gift from Kevin to himself on his 40th birthday. The day he got the car, he posted a picture of him with it on Instagram with the caption, I added some more muscle to the family for my 40th....welcome home 'Menace'.

Right after the accident, the father of three was taken to the hospital and was immediately rushed into surgery on Sunday evening. Thankfully, the doctors claimed that his back surgery was successful, according to TMZ.

In another report by TMZ, the impact of the accident was so monumental that the roof was completely crushed. It was so bad that the fire department actually had to saw off the roof in order to reach the people inside the car, where they found Jared pinned to his seat.
