Although Jenner has children of her own, she wants to assume the role of a mother this time around by conceiving a child via surrogacy.
For years, Sophia Hutchins and Caitlyn Jenner's relationship has sparked numerous rumors of a romantic relationship after the two were spotted virtually everywhere together. This began in 2017 after the 23-year-old was seen beside 71-year-old Caitlyn enjoying vacations and posing at red carpet events. Last year, Caitlyn, who already has six biological kids, four stepchildren, and 14 grandkids, revealed her wishes of becoming a parent once again. However, this time in a completely different role. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star wants to be a mother alongside Sophia, reports Mirror.
A source close to Caitlyn and Sophia revealed that the two have started discussions about starting a family together. "Caitlyn and Sophia have spoken about starting a family together for the last year or so, and while Caitlyn’s already got ten children, she’s never had the chance to bring a child up in the role of a mother, which she’s always dreamed of doing," the source told Closer magazine. They further explained that Sophia too has dreamed of becoming a mother and that's why the pair have decided to navigate through motherhood together and fulfill it via surrogacy.
Meanwhile, Caitlyn doesn't have the best relationship with her former spouse Kris Jenner after releasing her tell-all memoir The Secrets Of My Life. The publishing of the memoir resulted in a dramatic fall out with her stepchildren Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney and of course, her ex-wife Kris. However, she managed to rebuild a loving relationship with her biological daughters with Kris - Kylie and Kendall. That being said, the source claims that Caitlyn's daughter is not too thrilled about her becoming a mother at this age. "The girls are all really worried about the stresses and strains of having a newborn on Caitlyn – especially Kylie, who says she struggles at 21, and that at 70, Caitlyn should be enjoying taking life at a slower pace after having raised her children," they said.
"Caitlyn’s assured them all that they’re in the early stages of interviewing nannies and will have a good support system in place, and says Sophia will be the main 'hands-on' mum," added the source. But not everyone has challenged this idea of Caitlyn becoming a mother this late in life. Many reports have confirmed that Caitlyn did turn to his stepdaughter Kim to get some advice regarding surrogacy as she has personal experience with the process. It's no secret that the 38-year-old reality TV star hired a surrogate to birth her two youngest children Chicago and Psalm. "Kim’s been incredibly helpful and is the only one who’s been showing support, giving advice on surrogacy and her experiences. After the issues between them, Cait’s hoping this child will help reunite the family," the source revealed.
Irrespective of who supports Caitlyn in her decision, she has the unwavering support of her partner Sophia, who has decided to be invested in this journey of motherhood. Only time will tell if there is any truth to this news as the couple hasn't even confirmed their own relationship status. Earlier this year, Sophia spoke out once again. During an interview with the Juicy Scoop podcast, she shared that her relationship with the 71-year-old Olympian has never been romantic. "It was never romantic. It was never sexual. It was very much friends," she revealed, according to Eonline. "I would describe our relationship as we’re partners — we’re business partners. We have so much in common; we see the world so similarly and we both are such a good match for each other because we challenge each other." She added, "She challenges me in so many ways, has allowed me to grow in so many ways and I hope I challenge her to grow and I think because we share so many of the same passions and views, it's just a great match, a great partnership."
