A new floatation device called the GoBoat has introduced a float that is unlike any other! Get ready to experience bumper cars on water!
With summer upon us, it is the perfect season to lounge in your pools while sipping on your favorite drink. Of course, for an ideal day to laze around you would require some interesting and fun floating accessories that will let you relax in a pool, lake or beach. Just when you think you have the perfect pool float, there comes another one which will have you reaching for your wallet.
The GoBoat is an innovative motorized float which is sure to knock your socks off! This deviously simple-looking contraption can easily fool you into thinking that it's similar to your average pool float, however, it is not! I'm sure by now you know what bumper cars are, right? So, this contraption allows you to do the same thing but on the surface of water! How fun is that? I'm sure most of you are down for a bumpy and rowdy water sport that this device has to offer.
Unlike your regular floats, the GoBoat has a massive circular inflatable bumper that facilitates the idea of slamming into things and makes the whole experience all the more fun! The genius behind this invention is Dave Yonce. A pilot by profession, Yonce was on his way back from Tulsa one day when he happened to look out the west window. He noticed the sunlight bouncing off hundreds of water bodies which included streams, ponds, and lakes.
He was surprised at the number of water bodies he had witnessed when flying over Oklahoma. The same night he sat down with his "two boys and brainstormed about a summer project they could build together to get out and enjoy the water," reads the website. The common consensus went to bumper boats. It took a long time for them to complete this project. "After four generations of prototypes and years of testing, the GoBoat is ready for production & distribution," says the site.
Apart from being the most fun-filled water floatation devise ever, it is also mobile. You don't have to worry about the GoBoat taking up much space, as it weighs less than most "carry-on luggage" which is equivalent to 15 lb (7 kg) says reports. It also describes the product as "light-weight, durable & super portable." When not in use, it can be deflated and folded into a bundle that will easily fit into an average hatchback.
You don't even have to be a tech genius to set this thing up! It comes with simple and easy to understand instructions that helps you assemble the whole thing in a matter of minutes. A video link is also available on the website to enable you to set it up quickly. Due to its compact design, one can make their way across narrow spaces without any hesitation. The product is ideal for amateur fishermen who don't want to go through the unnecessary hassle of boat landings. Be it hunting, fishing, or simply relaxing on a water body, the GoBoat has to be hands down the best device available right now!
Due to the amazing features, it is a hit among kids as well, so don't worry about the contraption not being a crowd-pleaser! According to PRNewswire, Yonce introduced his product to the world in a Kickstarter campaign launch. "The GoBoat is something I've dreamed of sharing for years. This boat is a game-changer because it's so portable and so simple to operate. I'm excited to make a great day of boating affordable for everyone," he said.
Yonce is an experienced guy when it comes to building companies says his website. It reads: "Dave Yonce is no stranger to building companies. He was recently featured on Shark Tank for the IcyBreeze, his innovative portable air conditioner. He was a co-founder of Solarwinds, a multi-billion dollar software company and has built over 20 companies since 1998." The product retail for $499 currently which does not include the price of the motor. Reviewing the product one customer wrote: "The GoBoat has been a lifesaver for me. I normally use a small kayak for my fishing, but I can’t do that anymore considering I no longer have a truck to put it in. But now, I just disassemble the GoBoat and put it in the trunk of my car!"
