Adorable Squirrel Rescued From A Hurricane Can Only Fall Asleep If She Cuddles Her Teddy Bear

Judging by the posts on Instagram, the adorable squirrel named Jill is completely loved by her family and her lavish lifestyle is proof of that. 

Jill, a 7-year-old squirrel was rescued from Hurricane Isaac that hit Louisiana back in August 2012. Since then, Jill has had her fair share of fame and she's even got her own Instagram account named This Girl Is A Squirrel with more than 630k followers from all around the world. According to her profile, she is a “vegetarian, parkour expert whose only fear is the vacuum. But, she loves every Starbucks napkin she meets.” If you think this is adorable, there's more. So, Jill has a miniature teddy bear and when it's bedtime, she needs to cuddle her bear to sleep. Not just that, Jill is also potty-trained, loves fashion and posing for the camera.



 

 

During Hurricane Issac in 2012, the squirrel reportedly had fallen out of her nest during the typhoon, so Jill’s owners took her in temporarily, as a foster. However, they couldn't part with her and she ended up staying until now and seems quite happy. Since 2015, Jill has been an internet sensation and people lapped up her adorable antics! Judging by the posts on Instagram, Jill is completely loved by her family and her lavish lifestyle is proof of that. 



 

 

They celebrate her birthday, she frequently gets to enjoy delicious snacks, and sometimes gets to wear cute little outfits, too! Jill also enjoys traveling and spending time at beaches. “Jill has come with me on vacation ever since I began caring for her — before she was even a year old. She is a pro at long drives,” her owner says, according to Bored Panda. It also seems like Jill's favorite pass time is to sleep and we truly feel her. 



 

 

People took to social media to share their own stories, and Judy Caponi-Duerksen wrote: "I miss my squirrels!! I used to have 3, that would literally knock on my door!! If there were no cashews out they would actually knock!! They were the sweetest!! There was one, in particular, that would want me to pet or pick him up! When Larry first came to get me, one of the squirrels sat on his foot!!! LOL. And looked up at him like he wanted Larry to pet him!! I wish I could have gotten a picture of him!!"



 

 

Nikki Flynn added: "I rescued a squirrel over the summer and he had a little bunny he would carry around with him. He visits through my cat door and comes home on the cold nights."

Grace McEachin added: "Precious .. they are very intelligent - never had one as a pet; however had many who came around the house for peanuts and would chatter as tho they were trying to communicate." Lisa Bedrosian posted: "Love this!!! Sometimes I wish stories like this would flood my newsfeed."
