When words fail to convey what's on your partner's mind, their gestures will help you!
There's a lot one can learn and understand from the way someone behaves. Author Joe Navarro wrote for Psychology Today explaining how every part of our body, including our limbs, facial expressions, eyes, and hearts are controlled by the brain. This means that every thought that goes through your partner's mind is reflected through their body language and physical gestures. While some gestures display love, some express hate. It's quite easy to identify them if you know what to look for. However, if you're someone wondering if your partner is into you, here are some gestures that can help you confirm they're head over heels for you.
Ever noticed how your partner just can't stop smiling when you're around? Well, that's because they love you and you just brighten their day up. This also shows that they are extremely comfortable when you're around. The joy that they feel when they're around you comes through as they grin and giggle when you're by their side. Your presence puts them at ease and their body can't stop showing it. Thus, the smile.
Even when you're just sitting with your partner, it seems like they just can't keep their hands to themselves. They have to play with your hands or your hair, or simply keep in contact with you. This shows that they are quite comfortable with you, both on a physical and emotional level.
Whenever you're out or with a group of friends, your partner always holds your hand or will put an arm around your waist/shoulder. This shows that they want to have that feeling of closeness with you. It gives them comfort knowing that you both belong to each other. It's also a way for your partner to show you off to the world and proudly, but subconsciously say that you both are connected to each other, while also reassuring you that they are there for you, no matter what.
The first thing your partner does when they come back home from a long day of work or after having spent some time apart can say a lot about the connection you both share. And if they come towards you, touch you, hug you or give you a kiss, or even just keep looking at you for a few moments, this can show that they have missed you. Before doing anything else, they would first make that physical gesture and then carry on with everything else.
When you're with friends or family or in a big circle, your partner is bound to have you on their mind, subconsciously. They might glance at you every now and then or put their hand around you if you're next to them, almost like it's their way of protecting you or keeping a check on you. They could also look at you when someone cracks a joke, just to see if you're laughing, too. Without even realizing it, they are trying to assure you and make sure you're comfortable.
