A 6-year-old boy from Georgia named Blake had his mom design him a custom tee-shirt for his first day of school with a heartwarming message of friendship written on it.
A 6-year-old boy from Georgia recently had a bright idea involving a tee-shirts message. Blake Rajahn was all set to start school when his mom asked him what kind of tee-shirt he would like to wear on his first day.
While most kids around his age would have preferred a Superman or Disney-themed tee-shirt, Blake here suggested that he wanted to write a message for his new classmates to read instead. His mom got him a simple orange t-shirt with a sweet message of "I will be your friend" written on it. Now isn't that just adorable!
Blake's mom, Nikki Rajahn, shared this news on Facebook a day after her son's first day of school. Nikki only recently started her own small-business called 'Unfading Adornments' where she custom-makes home goods and various apparel with personalized sayings. According to Nikki, she told Blake that as a back to school gift, "I will make him any shirt he would like. It could have anything- a basketball theme, football, etc. which are all his favorites". Goes without saying that when Blake replied "Will you please make me a shirt that says 'I will be your friend' for all the kids who need a friend to know that I am here for them?", her heart (and ours now) melted.

Nikki told local news station WXIA that after her Facebook post went viral, she received several requests for the same and other similar kinds of tee-shirts from her. She said everyone has been very encouraging and people are starting to order their own version of the tee-shirt, some even with an additional "#blakesfriends" written on it.
At the moment she's selling each custom-designed T-Shirt for $15 each. She also told the news station that she's going to be donating a portion of the proceeds to 'Real Life Center', a local church charity that offers a variety of services to people in need from senior programs and financial counseling to food pantries.
Upon receiving more requests and such positive comments for her post, she conveyed the news to her little son. The response she received warmed her heart even more than it did before! Little Blake happily said "Oh good! Now more and more people are going to have more and more friends!". Isn't that just the sweetest!?
Nikki exclaimed that "He is just so flattered so many want to be his twin too." Nikki ended her original post with a “#stopbullying.” message too. Doubtless that this concerned mother, like many others, are always looking to raise awareness on the fact that bullying still remains a serious issue in all levels of public schooling. But it's good to know that kids like Blake are sure gonna put a stop to it, with tender and loving acts like these.
Have you ever wanted to design your very own tee-shirt with your favorite artworks and slogans on it?! Yeah, the idea does sound fun enough. Custom tee-shirts are all over the place and people have been designing some rather innovative ones. You can design your own custom tee-shirt by taking your idea or data in the form of words, pictures or artwork to your local garment store or tailor and they would be happy to make a brand new tee-shirt with exactly what you want, down to the last detail.
Or if you're looking to be Blake's friend and want your very own orange friendship teacher, you can get one from Nikki's website 'Unfading Adornments'.
