Daily Mail reports that since Owen's birthday was canceled due to social distancing measures, he is now seeking help on Twitter to help him reach 101,000 likes instead of the party he initially planned on having. Owen, believed to be a US citizen, can be seen holding a sign announcing that his birthday celebration has been canceled due to coronavirus. He now wants to celebrate his 101st birthday with 101k likes from Twitter.

Owen is among the millions of pensioners in self-isolation as the global pandemic is at risk of affecting older people more severely. His message, however, garnered attention after it was shared by Mohamad Safa, a permanent UN representative, entrepreneur and climate activist from Lebanon.
