Birthdays are special, especially when one plans to spend them with friends and family. However, owing to the situation, 101-year-old Owen had to cancel his birthday bash. Daily Mail reports that since Owen's birthday was canceled due to social distancing measures, he is now seeking help on Twitter to help him reach 101,000 likes instead of the party he initially planned on having. Owen, believed to be a US citizen, can be seen holding a sign announcing that his birthday celebration has been canceled due to coronavirus. He now wants to celebrate his 101st birthday with 101k likes from Twitter.

Owen is among the millions of pensioners in self-isolation as the global pandemic is at risk of affecting older people more severely. His message, however, garnered attention after it was shared by Mohamad Safa, a permanent UN representative, entrepreneur and climate activist from Lebanon. Safa shared Owen's picture with his 78,800 followers, asking them to take 60 seconds to help the elderly man. The photo sees a smiling Owen holding a sign which reads: Hello, I am Owen. I am turning 101 on March 31st. My party was canceled because of social distancing. Help me celebrate by getting 101k likes/comments.

Safa then shared the photo with the caption: His 101st birthday party was canceled because of the impact of the Coronavirus. Please share and comment to help us make his upcoming birthday special. Please leave him a message here. Take 60 seconds and do it for Owen! Several people took to social media to wish him a happy birthday in advance.
