The best way to relax after a long day at work is to uncork a bottle of wine and unwind over a glass of wine. But what if you could do this as part of your actual job? Yes, you read that right.  Murphy-Goode Winery is looking for someone to fill a spot for their one-year position with its team in Sonoma. The lucky candidate will not only get to move to California to work there, but you'll also get paid about $10,000 a month, along with free accommodation. 



If you are a wine enthusiast where words like, as per the website, "like Cabernet, Rosé, and Chardonnay just roll off your tongue," this could be their "dream job" that they have been looking for. Or if you happen to be someone who is looking for a change in career path, this could be well worth the opportunity to pursue your passion. Rest assured, the Sonoma Winery, states: "We have a job that will instantaneously catapult you into the wine stratosphere." They add that it's a "really Goode job" where you'll spend the "first 90 days of your Really Goode Job shadowing winemaker Dave Ready Jr. and exploring all aspects of the harvest."



Following which you get to "choose your path in the wine business" as the winery will work with you and your passions because the "sky is the limit!" If this all ticks your dream job box, here's what you need to do to be considered. You need to send in a video of yourself explaining why you will be a good fit for the job. Bonus points for humor and creativity will give you an edge. As for the application guidelines, the website notes: "Applications will be accepted from March 1, 2021 at 12:00:01 a.m. PST to June 30, 2021 at 11:59:59 p.m. PST." This can be extended based on the owner's discretion. Of course, it goes without saying that a job as good as this will have some terms and conditions.

To be eligible, you need to be:
1) above the age of 21
2) a resident of the US, or be authorized to work in the US
3) The candidate needs to be comfortable with weights as the job entails lifting 50 lbs regularly
4) Ability to work flexible hours, weekends included, as and when required




The company, founded in 1985, decided to bring back the position this year "as the country faces a new set of challenges." The program was first launched way back in 2009, per a press release.
