Christine Weston Chandler a.k.a Chris Chan recently came under fire after allegations of her sexually assaulting her elderly mother surfaced on the internet. What made netizens furious is a leaked audio recording and several texts where she allegedly admitted to the unspeakable crimes against her mother who has dementia. Per some reports, Henrico County Police were seen arresting the YouTuber in Richmond, Virginia, from the Regency Inn at 1500 Eastridge Rd. However, there's no proof of these rumors that have been swirling on the internet. Although it couldn't be verified, Chan's mother is said to be residing at a hospital for a senior care inspection. It remains unclear if Chan has been charged with any crime or not.

According to The Sun, the 39-year-old webcomic creator is an artist, blogger, and YouTuber. She is best known for her webcomics Sonichu and Rosechu and for being "a polarizing internet celebrity" as per Sega Nerds. The artist is described as "the infamous creator of the Sonichu comic series and internet trolling target." Chan, who came out as a transgender woman, claimed to be a "tomgirl" while going through gender dysmorphia in 2011, ultimately said she wants to be called "Mrs. Christine W. Chandler Sonichu." Her bio on Twitter reads, "I am Mrs. Christine W. Chandler Sonichu, Goddess of the Nations of Cwcville, Comma, and the Commodore Consoles, and the Creator of Sonichu and Rosechu. She/Her."

Previously, she also explained, "I Am Female; please address and talk about me with the correct Pronouns. She/Her/Hers. Thank You." As for Tumblr, Chan writes that she is the "creator of Sonichu, Rosechu and the city of Cwcville, VA, as drawn in my comic book series. And I am a proud Lesbian Transwoman... I am still a work in progress, always." Per her Facebook page, Chan studied computer-aided drafting and design at Piedmont Virginia Community College. It was also reported that Chan did not speak until she was seven and was diagnosed with high-functioning autism at the time. Now for her work the "Sonichu web series," it is a cross-over between Sonic the Hedgehog and Pokémon which contains "disturbing images" says Sega Nerd according to The Sun

Chan first uploaded her comic series in 2000, which "follows the adventures of the titular protagonist, a fusion of the Pokemon character Pikachu and Sonic the Hedgehog, has been widely mocked online for its amateur art style and writing," explained Know Your Meme. "It was widely ignored before Chris' video-blog and personal life gained internet infamy. At that point, the comics departed from their original storyline to describe Sonichu's sex life and the author's own personal problems." The series further grew to include a war again trolls, all of whom were murdered. Meanwhile the author "portrayed herself as superhuman, extremely intelligent, blessed by God (literally), major of CWCville, and has her own super mode which is activated by a magic MacGuffin."

Although her financial situation is not known, she is said to have written about it saying, "I have drawn and colored more than eleven books worth of stories, content and so forth, as well as my own official Sonichu and Rosechu figures and merchandise." She also mentioned living with her mother. "I still reside with my mother and our dogs and cats, and we have a slew of financial problems, alongside a number of being the victim of internet trolls, blackmail and deception, and so forth, that have long emotionally and mentally scarred me greatly. My creativity has been affected, and the only resolve, I feel, is less worries hanging over my head. And the home finances are a start that I'd like very much to resolve, including the mortgage and debts." During this, she also launched her YouTube career, which features her mother in many videos.

Earlier last month, she requested her patrons to help fund her trip to Everfree NW My Little Pony convention. For that purpose, a GoFundMe page was created by Joshua Moon but on July 31, a day after the alleged leaked text messages surfaced, Moon posted an update on the situation saying the fundraiser is being shut down. "On July 30th, audio and text messages leaked between Chris and an unknown woman where Chris confessed to aggressive sexual behavior towards his mother. He has since been removed from his home and separated by an emergency protective order which will last until August 5th. The audio and text messages are authentic. Everfree NW has since revoked his ticket to the convention. The GoFundMe no longer serves a legitimate purpose. As such, I am refunding all donations," it read.

"No drawing will be shipped. If you received a digital copy of your commission or shout-out video, it's yours to keep. I will be deleting my ledger of customer names and addresses after the refund has finished. This GoFundMe was my test to see if Chris could responsibly handle commissions. His success and commitment towards fulfilling these orders surprised me (in a good way), and indicated that it would be possible for him to stabilize his income and live comfortably off his work. This recent revelation is a massive Black Swan event and I am still internally processing it," it added.
